Sing-a-long Groups

Winzer Music provide live music sing-a-long groups in the community in North Yorkshire. Andrew passionately believes that music can stir memories and invoke new experiences. With this in mind, he has put together a selection of songs in his own book ´Songs to Remember´. Andrew will bring this book with him so each person present will have the opportunity of choosing their favourite song.

Andrew has his own Digital Piano Keyboard that he can bring along with him. He will set up in good time and make the point of talking to the residents during and after the event .Andrew has gathered together a selection of easy to handle percussion instruments that are always the highlight of the day!

Every resident has the opportunity to play along to well known tunes that form the finale to Andrew’s Musical Experience.

Alzheimer’s Society ‘Singing for the Brain’

Andrew feels privileged to be the leader of the Alzheimer’s Society ‘Singing for the Brain’ Group which meets regularly at Christchurch on the Stray, Harrogate. Singing for the Brain uses singing to bring people together in a friendly and stimulating social environment. The singing is interspersed with lots of fun, laughter and sharing. Percussion instruments are also used to accompany some of the songs as another way to help everyone participate. A range of styles are always incorporated into the session from a range of styles and musical eras: songs from the shows; songs from yesteryear to present day; songs from childhood; hymns and sprituals; pop songs and even a few action songs for good measure!
